Low Dose Naltrexone
I started a new medication, low dose naltrexone, and have heard a ton of mixed reviews about it for chronic fatigue, inflammation, & chronic illness. Research is limited, but here’s what I know & why I asked to try it.
Non Drug Pain Relief
Medicine can be a game changer in our day to day, but what are some other things we can do for pain relief? The research isn’t as convincing as we’d like, so it really comes down to what feels best for your body. Lets chat about common modalities, misconceptions, and what I personally recommend.
Self Care
Take a moment and consider how you’d talk to someone you love. Your words would be filled with gratitude & encouragement in an uplifting, gentle, supportive tone. Why do we talk to ourselves any differently? I know it feels like your body is working against you, but it's supporting you constantly. Here are my strategies for improving your relationship with yourself this Valentine’s Day.
When Injuries Don't Make Sense
I know we’ve all been there! Showing up limping, in a boot, with k-tape or a brace on, etc. Naturally, people ask what happened. The issue is, nothing happened! If you regularly injure yourself and never have a heroic story as to how you did, hypermobility may have been the reason all along.
Myofascial Release & Hypermobility
Have you heard of releasing fascia to help with hypermobility related pain? What is it, what does the research say, and where do we get it?
Nerve Glides & Hypermobility
If you’re hypermobile, I’m sure you regularly crave lots of stretching. Even though a stretch temporarily feels nice, it doesn’t address the root problem. Let's discuss why!
The power of consistently showing up imperfectly
How do we get back on track when we stop our movement routine? This is a regular conversation I have with my clients and I’d like to offer you a new perspective on how to not lose progress when something gets in the way of your routine.
That knot you always feel between your shoulder blades
It may not actually be a “knot” as you know it 🤔
